In 2022 it will be 150 years ago that Piet Mondrian was born in the historic center of Amersfoort, The Netherlands. To celebrate this, in collaboration with GAMMA, this beautiful mural was made with the clear abstract pattern of Mondriaan and the favorite colors of various Amersfoort residents, including the mayor. The building has been made available by De Alliantie especially for this occasion.

The painting was festively unveiled on Thursday 16 June by GAMMA councilor Fatma Koser Kaya and Laurens Miedema. The artist Daniël van de Haterd was of course present and we toasted with a glass of bubbles from restaurant Bombari.
